Eastershow and rainy days...

After these weeks I have became aware some of the differences between Australia and Finland. They are not like huge ones but some of those I would love to bring with me back home. Lets start with the first fact:

1. Traffic. You already know they are driving on the "wrong side". But here you really need to be careful when crossing the  street...because the cars are used to go first. Like honestly. Two weeks ago this lady gave me a very amazed look when I had the nerv cross the street before she drove past. In Finland I would have been the on with the face.
And even though people here are so relaxed and lay-backed they surely wanna hurry when driving a car.

2. Women after their 30's are reffering me as "love" in every shop I go in.
- would you like a bag love?
- you need any help love?
- I'll send someone to do that for you love!

I think thats so sweet! I know this would never happen in Finland because they would feel its too intimate. But still the way people here are addressing you is so polite and sweet :)

3. It DOES get cold in here!!
First I laught when I was told that it can get cold during an autum and winter. I was like "yeah yeah like 18 c would be cold.
Not laughing anymore. Actually I did catch a gold during the weekend. Because of the humidity it feels so much colder that just 18 degrees. In Finland 18 degrees feels like summer...here it feels like finnish November.  So now I understand why they are selling those winter jackets in shops.

On thursday at the playgroup it was raining a lot but it was warm at least.

4. There were no fresh veggies served at 4 stars hotel breakfest. What the hell????
There was all these nice fresh and soooo sweet fruits and steamed veggies but no fresh ones!!

5. You can ask help from anyone and people are always happy to help. I am not saying you can't ask help in Finland but there you can see people be suprised when random stranger asks something in the middle of the street. In here they seem like they are always helping strangers :)

6. Coffee. I'm not sure if I am able to return to Finland because of the best coffee they have in here. I had one embarrassing situation two weeks ago when I went to get some coffee from this tiny coffeeplace in Cronulla. I just walked in and asked could I have some coffee to go. The nice lady behind the counter looked at me for a long and asked "what kind of coffee?" And I just replied "large". Right after I said it I felt so silly! There were like million different kind of coffees to choose from and I just tought like I was always thinking back in Finland: "coffee with milk, no sugar..."
Now I know. And if its possible I love coffee even more!

I had again very nice week and excellent weekend! Its obvious that I love to be around these kids. They give me so much energy and make me smile just by being themselfs. And because they are really starting to trust in me it makes them more and more relaxed around me and vice versa.
I already know how hard its going to be when I am leaving...but lets just enjoy this moment right now <3

I spend my weekend again in the city. There is this huge eastershow going on in olympic stadium and we visited there with Trevor. It was awesome! Nothing I've seen before.
Markets, animals, amusement park, games, lots of different foods, drinks, australian culture, motocross show, music, fireworks...oh the fireworks was amazing!
There was like everything.
We had so much fun! <3
On Sunday we took ferry to Manly. I wanted to check this swedish kitchen "Figa" my brother told me about. Very nice place indeed! Their menu included some very nice scandinavian cuisines and they were also selling some finnish and swedish candies and chocolate. Ofcourse I had to buy salmiakki and chocolate so Trevor could try. And he actually liked salmiakki!!! Good guy! ;D <3

Up coming week will be also fun! Im cheking one tattoo place here in Sutherland and on weekend I continue my honeymoon with Sydney.

P.s. I can't believe I left home almost a month ago!
