Here I am! In the middle of warm paradise...now its finally sinking in that here I really am. Flight was long and exhausting. I wont do it again for a long time for sure. My flight was from Helsinki to London and from there to Sydney via Singapore. I did get some sleep but jetlag is still holding on very thight. Its now 7 pm and I'm just trying my best not to fall asleep...
Whats it like here? Hot! But after Finlands winter the sun and warmth is very welcome. People in here are incredibly nice and relaxed. I think I will fit in very well.
Because of the jetlag I'm probably just chilling this weekend through.
Yeasterday my other hostfamily was showing me around. We visited on this beautiful Cronulla beach. It was sooooo beautiful place...
After im back in business and not getting tired in the daytime I will post more photos and more interesting facts. This was just a small reminder for you readers that I am really going to do this blog ;)

Ow ya goin' ?
I promised to myself that I would at least try to write a blog about my journey to Australia. I remember saying something similar about my journey to Germany in 2009...well I think I did manage to write that blog about two months...with two posts :D But lets not talk about that...
And why in English? Well naturally because in the next months I'll be using English much more than Finnish...and I actually feel very comfortable with this language. And this way I'll make sure I'm not babbling too much. I was trying to write with Finnish, but it was nothing but babbling. Boooriiiing!
I am leaving in 16 days. I still remember clearly remember the day when I started counting..when there was 85 days left! Its amazing how the time flies...
I have a lovely host family waiting for me in Sydney's Sutherland Shire. I'll be their au pair for the next 6 months. (For those who do not know what "Au pair" is please check the link: Au pair .)
I cant wait to meet them all! I've already found some great homecoming gifts which I hope they like.
Why Australia? Well...I think my brother gave me the inspiration towards that country while he lived there for two years. And its AUSTRALIA for heaven's sake. All its native creatures like kangaroos, wombats, platypus...and all kind of snakes, birds, dolphins, whales (I´m soooo looking forward to see the whales!!).And the nature...there is just so much to see! And what I've heard people in Australia are also something to wait for. With their laid back and down to earth- attitude I'm sure I'll fit in!! <3 (Check this out: 20 things about Australian working culture that can surprise foreigners )
Don't get me wrong. I love love LOVE Finland and all the great thinks its offering for its people. And sometimes I feel it very heart breaking to leave all my friends and family behind... But I surely cant take them with me to live MY life, eh? And I'm sure they are still here after I'll come back. :)
I've always known Finland is not the only place I wanna live my life in. There is so much more to see in the world and only few of us get the chance to explore it all. I wanna be one of the few's who has "seen the world, done it all."
And for me now is the perfect time!
I really hope I can share some of the greatest bits from my journey and I'll make sure there will be lot of photos in here after I have settled down in my new home. Do not hesitate to leave a comment and please share if you have some good tips regarding Australia, Sydney, blogging or what ever actually!
:) And of course please feel free to share my blog to anyone who might be interested!
Cheerio! <3
